About Us

Martini Shot is the passion project of Jace Bothner and Jake Treat, two friends from Wichita, KS, with a shared love of film and the creative process. During the pandemic, with an excess of time on our hands, we decided to combine our programming and graphic design talents to create Martini Shot. Since then, the project has become bigger than we could have imagined when we started.

We sincerely hope you enjoy playing the game as much as we enjoyed making it.

Jace Bothner

In February 2020, Jace got the idea for a movie trivia game that could be updated as new movies come out. Within a few weeks, he finished a proof of concept that’s been consistently refined ever since to the version you see today. Jace enjoys coming-of-age films, psychological thrillers, witty comedies, and thought-provoking movies that stick with you long after viewing.

Jake Treat

When Jace finished the game’s proof of concept, he collaborated with Jake – a talented graphic designer – and Martini Shot was born. Everything you see from Martini Shot, whether digital or physical, was thoughtfully designed by Jake with painstaking attention to detail. He loves immersing himself in movies, getting lost in the vast possibilities of diverse cinematic worlds, exploring new films, and sharing those experiences with friends.
